That time I travelled too Cardiff too see Max….

It’s currently 5.36AM and I’m starting this before getting ready too leave the house for my journey to Cardiff. It’s still dark outside. I just can’t wait to get too Carlisle and get on my first main train!

Well that’s me done my first train – it’s an easy one just Annan to Carlisle. Now I’m chilling with a Gingerbread Latte waiting for my first main train from Carlisle to Crewe. I’ve a reserved seat so that’s great. It’s just getting on it now 🙂

Well there were no distasters on the train journey too get from Carlisle to Crewe and then Crewe to Cardiff.

I arrived in Cardiff around 1.40pm and was greeted by the rain – just like being at home! So following my instructions I navigated my way to my hotel and checked in… I had made it too Cardiff, happy days 🙂 🙂

I chilled , got ready and had some food before heading out too meet Hannah. I arrived at the Wales Millenium Centre and took some tourist shots including an attempt at as selfie with the building. Then Hannah arrived we had a catch up as we hadn’t seen each other since September.

It was time to take our seats. We got good seats at the raised stalls at the back with good view of whole stage though I had too dodge the head of person in front of me a few times.

The show started and I was just waiting for Max to appear. He played to roles – Charlie a young soldier who we find out is only 16 after he lied about his age and Private Brandt who was in the German Army still a young soldier. Playing two characters or meant Max was in most scenes from the beginning too end, always a bonus. We got to hear his lovely singing voice which is always a pleasure. In this production Max worked alongside his former Waterloo Road Co Star Rebecca Craven. In Only the Brave Becky plays Jenny a young girl playing her part in the war effort back home. But we didn’t expect that Max and Beckys characters would have a scene together and 😘😘😘

I laughed, I cried….a lot and said Awww countless times. It was a truly awesome production and very uplifting. I thought about my Granny during it who would have been 15 when the event happened. There was a standing ovation at the end!!!

After it finished it was mission find Max….not long after he appreared. Even though he had to rush off he had photographs with us and spoke to us about a few things. Said thank you for us for coming to see the show 🙂 I did actually cry in front of him, the emotion of thinking about Granny, the show itself and seeing him after so long just got too me and I couldn’t hold it in. Though in typical Max style he was so sweet about. So we gave him his presents – a Chelsea FC mug, keyring and a bar of tablet from me 🙂 Then it was the final hugs goodbye…………

Then we went too meet Becky. We had hugs, pictures and she singed my programme and old school tie. Off course my height was conversation subject, lol 🙂

 Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I got back to my hotel room and burst into tears – Thanks to Emily P, Rachel and Matthew for mesaging me 🙂 I then got organised for coming home and was just about to put my iPad down when I got s notification…. @MaxBowden mentioned you……..He tweeted us with a picture of the Chelsea mug and said “u guys are the best thank u so much. And thank you for coming! X X” After what felt like forever I replied back too him.

It may have been a short and sweet visit to seeing Max and Becky but it was most definitely worth the travel for the time they did spend with us and the tweets.
So my next adventure is in April too go a dyspraxia foundation meeting and too meet my Twitter friend Nikki. But hopefully  there will be another instalment of Team Max soon 🙂

Team Max – Part Three

Sunday 6th September 2015

My journey started at 00.20 when I got on a coach from my home town all the way too London, nine hours later I arrived!! I meet Hannah and her Dad then we made our way to the venue. Now it was time too find Max 😊

We stood where the players were coming in and out to the warm up areas….and we spotted him, he looked straight up too us and smiled 😊 Ahh no sleep and nine hours on coach totally worth it for that smile.

He chatted to us for a bit before he started playing, mentioning he didnt like the colour of his football strip (Being an Annan girl, I quite like black and gold/yellow).

We followed him around the various pitches he was playing on with our banner. I’m impressed with our banned considering one half was made in Annan and other on Isle of Wight.  By this point I was getting a little tired and my muscles were starting to hurt but I knew I was going to speak to Max again soon so I muddled on. Max noticed our banned quite quickly and he even gave us a cheeky wink too 😉

So the games finished and Max’s team didn’t win….boohoo 🙁 After a little searching we found him again. We gave him a few gifts and a good luck card – many a hug, thank you so much and your just too sweet followed – he copied my accent a few times, lol 😊

Now unfortunately my lovely blog readers the events that followed have to be classified as Strictly between Team Max!!!

I am sorry I can’t say but I don’t want to be seen as bragging or being special……

That time I hate came saying goodbye as both me and Hannah had to get coaches home.

Soon I was on a coach back to Carlisle followed by an early train back to Annan, it was then sleep before work in the evening. To some it might have been madness but I honestly can I say I don’t regret it at all.

I sent Max a DM on Twitter thanking him for everything and he replied with

Thank you amazing Amy. I will see you soon promise. Lots and LOTS of love. Max x

I will hold that reply forever, now I don’t know when I’ll see him or Hannah again but I just hope it’s soon. Oh and I’ll be blogging about it too.

Team Max – Part Two

So the best opportunity ever came to Team Max when Max announced he would be playing in a charity football event called Star Football in Liverpool in May 2015. It meant long journeys for both of us but it meant that we could meet each other and Max together.

On our Twitter page we decided to get our followers involved by making a fan book for Max with sections on Waterloo Road, Jiffany, Jonnie,Jenzie, Birdsong, Anti Bullying, Singing as well as fan messages. It was a big project and became bigger than we imagined but in the end it worked.

Saturday 30th May 2015

My day began very early and with three trains but finally I arrived at Liverpool Lime Street Station and I met Hannah along with her Dad, Steve (our team max photographer) . We went to the venue and after a while we got in…..then we saw Max!!

Now however at this point I must say I can’t tell you everything that happened that day, some things just have to stay between us but all I can say is It was one of the best days ever!!

We met Max and his girlfriend Lucy, she is very lovely too. They loved our Team Max on Tour T-shirts. We saw Max play, he’s rather into his football he supports some team called Chelsea! We were cheering him from the sidelines, his team played very well. Then the time came to give him his fan book, from the expression in his face he wasn’t expecting it be as big as it was or in as much detail, he had a quick look through it and thanked us for our amazing efforts. We chatted so much that day which was lovely, I really didn’t want it too end 🙁 Afterwords he DMd us on Twitter and RTd and tweeted us too 😊😊

Team Max!!!! Part One

How do I explain Team Max?…

Well have you heard of Max Bowden, he played Justin Fitzgerald in the last series of the BBC show Waterloo Road.

I am part of the number one fan account for him along with my Twitter bestie Hannah.

It all started in November 2014 when Max’s character Justin started a relationship with soon to be Step sister Tiffany played by Sammy Oliver which had the ship name Jiffany. I began talking to Hannah after I saw she liked Jiffany too and so we created @TeamJiffany on Twitter.

We began by tweeting along with the show what was happening to Justin and Hannah would post her awesome edits. From the account we also formed many friendships and became a little WR/Max Family, with me as the ‘big sister’! We had follows and Favs from Max and Sammy followed by many more RTs, Tweets and DMs from Max. Our favourites being “LOVE U” and “I love you guys”

Then the opportunity came in April when Waterloo Road had finished to meet Max along with his Waterloo Road co stars at a tour hosted by Hussians House. Hannanh met Max in London and I met him in Glasgow. I remember I was so nervous I couldn’t eat my tea before I went but when Max saw me at top of stairs and said “Aww I know who you are, your Amy” I knew I had done the right thing going that distance on my own. Max totally appreciated all that we done on the fan account for him 😊

Selfie with Max 😊😍😍😃

After Waterloo Road Max went on the road with the touring production of Birdsong playing the role of Tipper and Gregorie. I went to see him in it in Edinburgh in April, on my own off course. Max was amazing in this he really made you believe he was a scared 15 year old who had found himself in the terror of the trenches of World War One. There was honestly real tears at this points. Then his French accent as Gregorie was so funny. He took the time out of busy schedule to speak to me and sign a few things after the show which he didn’t have too but meant so much too me….
